Lewistown, Montana is an agriculture community that is located at the geographic center of Montana in the vast and spectacular Judith Basin.  Although mostly rolling proaire, the Judith Basin is surrounded by five beautiful mountain ranges, the Snowies, the Judiths, the Moccasins, the Highwoods, and the Belts.  Lewistown is also home to the Montana State Chokecherry Festival, held every year on the first Saturday after Labor Day.  Chokecherries grow wild throughout Montana along the many beautiful riverbanks.  For many centuries they were a major staple of life for the Blackfeet and Cheyenne tribes of Montana.  The chokecherries used to make this wine were picked and pressed by women of the Spring Creek Hutterite Colony which is located 14 miles northwest of Lewistown.  This wine is a very flavorful medium sweet wine that goes well with red meat and red pasta meals.
