PINOT NOIR WINE
Flathead Lake Winery is the only winery that uses 100% Montana grown grapes. The front label photo for our Pinot Noir Wine was taken near Big Arm, Montana, looking towards Melita Island and Wild Horse Island. This is a 2007 vintage and was released in August 2009.  It was aged on American Oak for 17 months and has hints of cherry and currant aromas.

Beautiful Flathead Lake located in Northwest Montana near Glacier National Park is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Great Lakes. With its nearly 200 square miles of water surface and depths of nearly 400 feet, Flathead Lake tempers the harsh Montana winters enough to allow abundant cherry crops and more recently vineyards to flourish along its shoreline. The grapes used to make this wine were grown by Dudley and Ann Page in their vineyard on Flathead Lake's Finley Point. Dudley and Ann are considered to be the vinyard pioneers of Montana and have been successfully growing Pinot Noir grapes on Finley Point since 1985. The Page's annual grape harvest at the vineyard is one of the social events of the season and draws people from over 200 miles away. This was a limited run production that produced approximately 100 cases of wine.
